Saif Rofeh Amriddin Book Memorial Fund

One of our dear colleagues and friends, Heidi Menglibaeva, recently experienced a heartbreaking loss. Her beloved husband, Saif, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 21st.

Saif and Heidi shared a remarkable journey, living in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan before moving to the United States in 2003. They have two sons, and both parents worked tirelessly, often juggling two to three jobs to ensure their children received a strong education and earned their degrees.

Having witnessed the civil war in Tajikistan and the collapse of the Soviet Union, Saif firmly believed that education is the key to building a better future, especially for children.

After having two boys, the family decided to move to the United States in 2004. They began living the American Dream and quickly settled into their community.

Saif and Heidi have been dedicated members of the Tajik-American Community of Colorado, always offering support to those in need. Saif was a devoted volunteer, and together, they made a lasting impact on many lives—helping new immigrants, supporting the Boulder-Dushanbe Sister Cities program, and volunteering for Project Hope.

Saif and Heidi shared a deep love for hiking, biking, camping, working out, photography, reading, and traveling. You rarely saw one without the other.

In honor of Saif’s passion for education and literacy, we are supporting Books Without Borders, an organization currently building a library in Tanzania. Donations made in Saif’s name will help fill this library with books, continuing his legacy of knowledge and generosity.

Your support during this difficult time means the world to Heidi and her family. Thank you for your kindness.
