Julie Parve, Board Chair/Medical Director: julie.parve@hwb-intl.org
Dr. Parve has been on the board since HWB was started in 2007 and is the co-founder of HWB with her husband Lance. Her expertise is in access to medical care and training of healthcare workers. Her passion is the Red Elephant project, which she started in 2014 and the chicken project she started in 2018. Experience: Associate Professor at Concordia University. Family Nurse Practitioner for Froedtert Community Physicians. Lived in Somalia from 1984-1986 working in a hospital and doing community development projects.. She travels frequently overseas to assist in ongoing HWB projects in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nicaragua, India and Peru. Education/Training: Family Nurse Practitioner MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Certificate in Disaster Relief.
Lance Parve, Vice Chair/Executive & Engineering Director, lance.parve@hwb-intl.org
Lance is the co-founder and on the board of directors since HWB started in 2007. He is also the Executive Director of the USA office. His expertise is in access to clean water, drilling wells and water purification. Experience: Lance is a professional geologist, hydrogeologist and civil engineer. He works for WSP in research and development. He travels frequently overseas assisting in HWB projects as well a trip logistics. He has a certificate in Disaster Relief. He lived in Somalia from 1984-86 assisting with well drilling and other community development projects.

Wally has been on the Board of Directors since 2012. Wally is an architect at Workshop Architects where he is a principal and senior project manager, managing some of Workshop’s largest and most complex projects. Whether at Workshop Architects or Hope Without Borders, Wally loves to help and make a difference. Stated simply, Wally’s personal goal in life is just to be a blessing to those around him. There are needs everywhere, in Milwaukee, in Africa, in India, in hearts and homes everywhere. There are also people everywhere who are making a difference. Connecting with and empowering others to recognize the potential to also be a blessing where they are and possibly helping in some way to exponentially increase their capacities to be a blessing beyond their circumstances is incredibly soul satisfying.

Patrick has been on the HWB board since 2018. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1995 and returned to college in 2013 to earn an MBA from Marquette University. Patrick is an account manager for HUSCO International in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Patrick became involved with Hope Without Borders in 2015 when he accompanied a medical mission team to Nicaragua. That experience helped to solidify his commitment to serving others. Since then, he has returned to Nicaragua with his wife Dr. Jennie Peters as a trip leader and has also served in Kenya, Uganda, and Jordan. Patrick will be leading a team to Guatemala in 2021.

Jenny has been on the Board of Directors since 2017. She was born in Kenya and has traveled to Kenya and Nepal helping to deliver medical care several times. She currently works as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Marana, AZ.
